Throwback! Almost the same time, one year ago - we went to Phuket for 10 days.
Phuket is well known as a party island, very touristic and crowded.  But if you choose the right place to stay, it is not like that. We had a very relaxing vacation.

The big advantage - if decide to go to Phuket from Shanghai, is definitely the travel distance.
It is only about 4 hours with a nonstop flight! Especially with small children, this should be doable.

We stayed at the "Indigo Pearl" resort, which is not far away from the Airport (but it was not disturbing at all because we never heard the planes) The hotel is located at the Nai yang beach, north of the island, about 45 minutes away with car from Patong. The Beach was clean and not crowded. The resort itself, is very nice and the interior design is very special, it is looks like an old zinn mine. There are a lot of nice beach restaurants, where you can eat good and inexpensive food. If you want to enjoy the nightlife and do some shopping, you just hire a driver and go to Patong. I

my husband's birthday surprise cake :)

Lobster for about 20 Dollar!! Fresh and delicious!
